MUSIC
Golden Regiment Marching Band (Advisor: Thomas Hayden)
Made up of woodwinds, brass, percussion, and color guard members, the Golden Regiment performs at football games, community events, and competes in competitions all over New Jersey. The Marching Band rehearses after school on Mondays and Wednesdays from 6:00-9:00pm, while typically attending competitions and performances on Fridays and Saturdays.
Vox Blue (Advisor: Adrian Camano)
An auditioned a cappella ensemble that covers contemporary music of different genres, in the style of a cappella, or singing without any instrumental accompaniment. This group also competes in local, state, national, and international a cappella competitions. This ensemble meets twice a week, after school.
Golden Blues Jazz Band (Advisor: Thomas Hayden)
An auditioned instrumental ensemble consisting of saxophones (alto, tenor, baritone), trombones, trumpets, percussion (piano, drums), guitar and bass skilled in the art of jazz and improvisation. The Jazz Band meets from January to May after school and is made up of students that are selected through an audition process.
Musical Pit Orchestra (Director: Andy Kapetanakis)
A select group of student instrumentalists that meet after school from January to March. Students in the Pit Orchestra are selected by the Instrumental Director of the Musical, through an audition, and play in the pit along with professional instrumentalists.
