Poetry out loud. National recitation contest

Poetry Out Loud is a national recitation contest that begins on a school-wide level all across the country.  Competitors will memorize, prepare, and perform recitations of well-known poems for a panel of judges.  The winner from each school progresses to the regional competition, the state-wide competition, and ultimately the national competition featuring representatives from every state in Washington, D.C.

2024 COMPETITION 

RULES: Contestants will need to memorize and perform TWO (2) poems in the competition from the approved eligible poems list.

Judging will be based on the Poetry Out Loud tips/criteria and scoring rubric.
