Commencement Activities - June 14, 2024
Graduation Practice
Graduation practice will be held on June 13, 2024 at 10 am.
All seniors must attend the entire graduation practice, or they will not be allowed to participate in the graduation ceremony. No exceptions will be made.
Caps and Gowns
Caps and gowns will be distributed after graduation practice.
All gowns should be taken home and pressed with a cool iron.
NO insignia, buttons, etc., will be permitted on the caps and gowns.
The graduates shall not carry cell phones, purses, wallets, flowers, etc., to the field.
Only school issued stoles and cords are permitted to be worn High School Graduation Attire
Students may keep the cords only, stoles must be returned.
Graduation Tickets
Graduation tickets are not necessary for an outdoor ceremony.
In the case of inclement weather, Graduation tickets will be required for an indoor ceremony.
Four tickets will be sent home with your child’s cap and gown after practice.
Guests without tickets will not be admitted; however, there will be a livestream available for those guests wanting to sit in the cafeteria or auditorium.
Handicapped Guests
Special seating and parking will be available for handicapped guests.
Parents should complete the handicap seating/parking Handicapped Guest Request
Dress Requirements
Dress shirts, ties, dress pants, dresses, skirts and dark shoes (flat or wedge shoes are required).
For all – NO shorts, jeans, sneakers or flip-flops will be permitted.
Students not conforming to dress requirements will not be allowed to participate in the ceremony.
Videography/photography
The Commencement Ceremony will be live streamed for those guests unable to attend the ceremony in person.
The link for the live stream link will be available on our website the morning of graduation.
Graduation Flowers
Beautiful bouquets will be available for purchase on site at graduation.

Graduation Day
On the day of graduation all students must report to their assigned classroom by 8:45 am.
Diplomas will be distributed after the ceremony. Please pick up your diploma by 12:00pm
In the event of inclement weather, we are preparing for an indoor ceremony.
If the ceremony is held indoors, an alert will be sent to senior parents, and it will be posted on Del Val’s website.
Project Graduation
There is still time to sign up for Project Graduation. Email Project Graduation for more information.
The night begins at 8:00 pm in the cafeteria where food, door prizes and entertainment will be provided. The bus will leave Del Val at 11:00 pm for New York City to enjoy an early morning dinner cruise around the New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty. The bus will return to Del Val at approximately 6am.
Students are not permitted to drive home, so please make arrangements to pick up your child.
